I’m not actually sure of the reasons myself, but I keep getting the idea that I should only drink water. I tried this before of course, but it’s really hard to quit caffeine suddenly when your daily dose is as high as mine was. I used to drink Coca Cola almost exclusively. Now I have caffeine pills.
I haven’t been taking the caffeine pills in the last few days either. The headaches from caffeine withdrawal seem to have stopped. Oh and food tastes better. More accurately, I have cravings for better food. I still have my cereal with milk, but I hardly consider that a drink.
I was searching the Internet for health benefits of drinking only water and found several articles related to weight loss. Since this isn’t my concern I didn’t read them very thoroughly. Basically it comes down to water having no calories, but filling you up.
I think my reasoning is more about giving my body a pure substance it can use to wash out the gunk. Ironically I read an article which suggested only drinking water makes your kidneys marginally less effective. It did not offer a lot of supporting evidence though.
Well we shall see if this lasts as long as my four months of vegetarianism. Note too anyone trying that: Plan your nutrition first!
I believe that Jesus of Nazareth died for the sins of all men, past, present, and future. I believe that he believed that he was the son of God who created all that exists. I also believe that he was wrong, and that there is no god that created the universe.
Objectively one can only be agnostic. The existence of a god that does not interfere is verifiably unprovable, true or false. Since our observations are only from within the universe, we cannot observe things that exist solely outside the universe. Ergo, it is an exercise in futility to attempt to prove or disprove the existence of such a being.
I should be agnostic and not think about it at all, but I tend to lean more toward the lack of a non-interfering god. This is probably due to my experiences with Christians. Logical fallacies and hypocrisies feel like personal attacks to me.
I will try harder to not entertain religious discussion, since the oposing views are both based on the invalid assumption that one view can be argued correct. My time is better spent improving the lives that do, or will exist. Respecting life needs no ulterior motive. Life is beautiful.
Anonymous asked: Why is there a squirrel on your shoulder?
My brother caught the squirrel in the garage. It was a baby, and didn’t seem like he would survive in the wild. We fed him some water and peanut M&M’s, but we couldn’t keep him. We gave him to a friend of mine that was good with animals. When visiting the friend a few days later, the squirrel climbed up on me and someone happened to have a camera, and impressive timing.
Hipster Brian blogs from his iPhone.
I was self hosting my blog with wordpress, but I’m going to switch to tumblr. Tumblr seems to be integrated with everything I use automatically and permits me to run JavaScript in the theme source (allows adsense). It will take a few days to make the switch (no import functionality), but sure looks like a convenient service.
tumblrbot asked: WHAT IS YOUR EARLIEST HUMAN MEMORY?
As a general rule, I don’t respond to bots. Sorry, but I can’t answer your question.
